Manuskh was born of Indian parents in the Rift Valley in Kenya, and spent the first part of his life learning valuable lessons from his Gandhian parents. His father was a keen meditation and yoga student who taught his son to find inner peace through the power of the natural world. As a child, Mansukh remembers his mother reciting the soothing words of the Bhagavad Gita to him, and teaching him the power of light which has the power to dissolve stress and trauma.
Mansukh was deeply inspired by the Masai people who lived on the plains of the Rift Valley. Witnessing violence resulting from the Mau Mau uprising, he was exposed to life in its rawest form. His knowledge of pain and human suffering deepened, giving him a deep sense of compassion, and the determination to help others less fortunate than himself.
Mansukh Patel’s family moved to the West Midlands when he was 12, where he was able to absorb all the essential qualities of Western culture and education. Despite having to learn English, Mansukh showed a good aptitude for his studies, and successfully passed his exams, enabling him to attend Bangor University in North Wales.
At Bangor University, Mansukh Patel started yoga classes, forming a student yoga club, which was very popular with the stressed out students at the university. After he finished his biochemistry degree, he pursed postgraduate studies into cancer. After his Phd in cancer toxicology, Mansukh became an osteopath, helping him to deeply understand the power of movement to help create a flexible spine and relaxed muscles. Mansukh Patel combined yoga and natural health techniques to create a succesful approach to health and wellbeing.
